Dodge, known for its iconic muscle cars like the Hellcat Challenger series, is breaking new ground by introducing the first-ever battery-electric muscle car. This groundbreaking move sets the stage for potential similar initiatives from competitors like Ford and General Motors.
Customers will soon have the option to choose between the 496 hp R/T and the 670 hp Scat Pack, both powered by battery-electric technology.
These models boast impressive performance figures, with the faster variant capable of completing the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds and reaching 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds.
For traditionalists, Dodge is also preparing the Hurricane variants with a 3.0L twin-turbo engine, set to debut next year. These models will include both sedan and coupe options, catering to a wide range of preferences. Additionally, plans for 800-volt versions are underway to meet evolving market demands.
