Pagani collaborated with the Istituto Europeo di Design to introduce Alisea, a hypercar concept emerging as a thesis project for IED’s master class. Although it’s a 1:1 scale prototype, the likelihood of it hitting the streets is slim.
However, its design beckons for a lively track experience or a scenic coastal drive. Typical of Italian design, it’s a stunning one-off creation. The genesis of Pagani Automobili S.p.A. dates back to 1992, founded by Horacio Pagani, an Argentine-Italian entrepreneur and automotive engineer.
Initially named Fangio F1 in tribute to Juan Manuel Fangio, the renowned Argentine Formula One champion and friend of Pagani, the project evolved into the Zonda C12 following Fangio’s passing in 1995. The Zonda series debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in 1999, paving the way for a lineage of iconic hypercars.
To commemorate the Zonda’s 25th anniversary, Pagani partnered with IED and its master students to envision a contemporary iteration of the iconic two-seater. The Alisea hypercar concept combines classic Zonda elements with modern flair, paying homage to Pagani’s sports car legacy. While it’s astonishing to reflect on the Zonda’s 25-year journey, the Alisea seamlessly integrates into this esteemed lineage.
Though the Alisea remains a bespoke creation without Pagani’s production intentions, enthusiasts can only speculate on its technical specifications. However, given Pagani’s history of crafting custom Zonda models for affluent clients, the possibility of a bespoke Alisea isn’t far-fetched. Until then, enthusiasts can only dream of its potential on the open road.
