Bugatti’s history is as tumultuous as it is legendary, with its original incarnation ceasing in the early 1950s. However, the brand’s legacy lives on, thanks to automotive prodigy Mate Rimac, who carries its torch into the future.

Established in 1909 by Ettore Bugatti, the company faced bankruptcy in the post-World War II era before being revived in the late 1980s and ultimately acquired by Volkswagen in the early 2000s.

While Bugatti’s second coming saw a shift to mid-engine architecture, one thing remained constant: the pursuit of speed and luxury. Nevertheless, a front-engine Bugatti hasn’t been seen in the actual world in recent years, though digital renderings have explored the concept.

Designers and Bugatti itself have toyed with the idea of a classic Grand Tourer platform reminiscent of the brand’s heritage. Additionally, roadsters have been emblematic of Bugatti’s lineup, with concepts like the modern-day Mistral showcasing the brand’s commitment to innovation.

Futurism Collective’s designers have imagined several ultramodern, retro-styled Bugatti roadsters in the virtual world, paying homage to the brand’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of design and performance.

These roofless concepts, powered by W16 engines, capture the essence of Bugatti’s “Speed of Life” ethos, offering exhilarating performance and unparalleled style.
