Mazda Motor Corporation has revealed the final member of its mid-size utility vehicle lineup, the CX-80, following the earlier introduction of the CX-60 and CX-70. Positioned as the Euro-market counterpart to the CX-90, the CX-80 offers premium features and a three-row layout.
Comparable in size to the CX-90 for North America, the CX-80 targets customers seeking a spacious and versatile SUV. Available in both left-hand and right-hand drive configurations, the CX-80 boasts generous dimensions, including a length of 4,995 millimeters and a wheelbase of 3,120 millimeters.
In terms of interior space and practicality, the CX-80 offers impressive cargo capacity and flexible seating options. With either six- or seven-seat layouts, it provides ample room for passengers and luggage, making it ideal for family adventures and everyday use.
European markets will have access to electrified powertrains, multiple trim levels, and advanced features, including all-wheel drive as standard. The CX-80 benefits from Mazda’s i-Activ AWD system, delivering confident performance and stability in various driving conditions.
With a focus on efficiency and performance, the CX-80 offers a range of powertrain options, including a plug-in hybrid variant and a turbocharged diesel engine. These options cater to different preferences and prioritize both power and fuel economy.
Production of the CX-80 is set to begin in the coming months, with deliveries expected to commence later this year. As Mazda continues to expand its SUV lineup, the CX-80 represents a significant addition to its portfolio, offering European customers a compelling choice in the mid-size SUV segment.
