Aston Martin’s SUV, the DBX, is getting a few updates, and there are two main changes. First, the regular DBX model is no longer available. The DBX707, which has a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine with 697 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque, has become the only option for buyers who want this SUV.
Secondly, the interior has been redesigned. The design of the panels inside has become simpler, with a clearer division between the driver and passenger sides, as well as between the upper and lower sections with the infotainment screen and air vents. Many of the physical controls like the steering wheel, door handles, and air vents have been updated.
The gear selector buttons on the dashboard have been replaced by a small toggle lever in the center console, similar to what Porsche uses. The instruments are now displayed on a 12.3-inch screen, and the infotainment system is on a 10.25-inch unit. There are also more chrome accents and larger sections of veneer. These sections can be made of oak or ziricote wood, titanium mesh, carbon fiber, or piano black trim.
Buyers can choose from a few different upholstery options. There’s the Inspire Comfort choice with “matrix embroidery” and quilted leather, and there’s also the Inspire Sport with “vector embroidery” and Alcantara. For those who want a more customized interior, Q by Aston Martin can provide that.
There are some other small changes to the DBX707. The shocks and air springs have been adjusted, and the door handles now pop out when you approach the SUV. There are also five new paint colors and a couple of new wheel finishes, as well as new side mirrors with flush glass. The DBX707 now comes with a standard 14-speaker, 800-watt sound system.
While the pricing hasn’t been announced yet, production will begin soon in the second quarter of this year, with deliveries expected in the same quarter.
