GWM, also known as Great Wall Motors, is gearing up to launch its Haval Jolion Pro, known as the Red Rabbit, in the Australian market under the new moniker Jolion Hybrid. This introduction will coincide with a refresh of the existing petrol models in the Jolion lineup. The forthcoming Haval Jolion Pro, which has been spotted undergoing testing in Australia, will replace the current hybrid models.
Sporting a refreshed exterior design, the Jolion Pro aligns visually with the Thai-market Jolion Hybrid, featuring updated front and rear styling elements. Anticipation is high for the arrival of the Jolion Pro, with an announcement expected in the coming weeks to confirm its launch timing, expected to be alongside the updated petrol Jolion.
The Red Rabbit, already available in China since 2021, shares similar dimensions with the Jolion, boasting a 2700mm wheelbase and a length just 2mm shorter than the Jolion. However, it is slightly wider by 57mm.
While full specifications for the new Jolion Hybrid in Australia are pending confirmation, other right-hand drive markets like South Africa offer a four-cylinder hybrid powertrain generating 139kW/375Nm. Expectations for the interior design suggest a resemblance to other right-hand drive markets, resembling the layout of the standard Jolion model, rather than the unique interior found in left-hand drive versions.
