This Mercedes-Benz G 350d had a radical transformation, evolving from a four-wheel drive into a three-axle, six-wheeled behemoth with towering ride height. The metamorphosis, orchestrated by Ukrainian shop Jeeps Monsters, birthed the G-Wagon G350 6×6 Squared, their latest creation.
Starting with a stock G350d powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 diesel, Jeeps Monsters started on a comprehensive restyling. Utilizing components from a Chinese restyling kit, they adorned the vehicle with new elements, including a radiator grille, lights, hood, bumpers, side mirrors, and fenders, instilling a more aggressive aesthetic. To fulfill the customer’s request, carbon fiber snorkels were also integrated.
To achieve a robust off-road stance, the vehicle adopted a suspension mirroring that of a 4×4 Squared, incorporating two Fox shock absorbers and springs on each of the six wheels sourced from the US. Although lacking the original’s portal axles, Jeeps Monsters employed alternative solutions to maintain performance.
Despite its formidable appearance, the six-wheeler demonstrates sluggish acceleration, achieving 0-100 kph in 16 seconds and a quarter-mile sprint in 20 seconds. Surprisingly, activating Sport mode exacerbates performance, extending the 0-62 mph time to 18 seconds due to increased weight.
The enhanced suspension enables the vehicle to traverse rough terrain effortlessly, showcasing its formidable capabilities. Jeeps Monsters rigorously tested the vehicle under extreme conditions to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
