The 2025 Chevy Equinox is getting a makeover and some new features. And the good news is, it won’t break the bank. The starting price for the base model is just under $30,000, while some of the fancier versions go up to about $36,000.
Here’s a breakdown of the starting prices for each version:
– LT FWD: $29,995
– LT AWD: $31,995
– RS FWD: $34,395
– RS AWD: $36,395
– Activ FWD: $34,395
– Activ AWD: $36,395
The base model, called the Equinox LT, comes with a bunch of cool features right off the bat. It’s got a big 11.3-inch screen for the infotainment system, heated seats and steering wheel, remote start, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and adaptive cruise control.
The new Activ trim gives the Equinox a more rugged look, with special tires, blacked-out trim, and the option for a two-tone paint job. Inside, each version has its own unique style. The sporty RS trim, for example, has red and blue stitching on the seats and a flat-bottom steering wheel.
Under the hood, you’ll find a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 175 horsepower. It comes with either a continuously variable transmission for front-wheel drive models or an eight-speed automatic for all-wheel drive versions. It’s not the most powerful engine out there, but it can tow up to 1,500 pounds when equipped with all-wheel drive.
Chevy says the new Equinox has a bunch of safety features, although we don’t have crash test data yet. It comes with stuff like automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. So, it’s looking like a pretty safe ride.
