Lamborghini has captured automotive enthusiasts with the debut of the Lamborghini Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid variant of its acclaimed super crossover, at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. This latest addition to Lamborghini’s electrified lineup surpasses its ICE-powered counterparts, boasting unprecedented power and performance.
Powered by a re-engineered 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, the Urus SE delivers an impressive 611 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.
Complementing the V8 is an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission, contributing an additional 189 horsepower. Together, they produce a total output of 789 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque, propelling the Urus SE from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds.
While its electric range may not rival dedicated electric vehicles, the Urus SE offers a respectable 37 miles on a full charge, a remarkable feat for a high-performance crossover. In addition to its powertrain enhancements, the Urus SE features upgraded components such as a new virtual limit-slip differential and electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch for enhanced handling and performance.
Accompanying the Urus SE at the Beijing Auto Show are other notable Lamborghini models, including the Revuelto plug-in hybrid supercar and the Huracan Tecnica. With its innovative engineering and exhilarating performance, the Urus SE reaffirms Lamborghini’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence in the electrified era.
