Revealed at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, the Quintessenza concept by Italdesign combines the sleek body of a coupe with the functionality of a pickup truck, featuring an adjustable ride height and a removable rear windshield to access the bed below.
With seating for four passengers and flexible rear seats that can flip backward, it offers a blend of urban convenience and off-road capability for nature enthusiasts. Access to the cabin is via vertically lifting doors, revealing a futuristic interior with a floating dashboard and a main panel made of marble-based fabric. Vital driving information is displayed on a digital screen behind the steering wheel.
Powered by an electric drivetrain delivering 778 hp, the Quintessenza boasts impressive performance with a 0-62 mph time of less than three seconds, thanks to its all-wheel-drive system and 150-kwh battery. While the Quintessenza concept is not slated for production, it serves as a showcase of Italdesign’s capabilities and vision, particularly in the Chinese market where the company has established a local presence since 2022.
