Celebrating a decade in Australia, American pickup brand Ram has achieved a significant milestone of remanufacturing 30,000 vehicles Down Under. Ram Trucks Australia recently reached this milestone with the remanufacture of a 1500 Big Horn in Melbourne, commemorating the achievement with an enticing finance offer.

To mark the occasion, Ram Trucks Australia is extending a special finance deal until the end of June, offering a 4.99 percent no-deposit finance package on all Ram 1500 Big Horn models sold and delivered during this period. Jeff Barber, the general manager of Ram Trucks Australia, expressed pride in reaching this milestone, highlighting the dedication of everyone involved in the brand’s success.

He emphasized the significance of achieving such a substantial number of vehicles in a virtually non-existent segment just a few years ago. Ram, a division of automotive giant Stellantis, made its mark in the Australian market by offering factory-backed full-sized pickups locally remanufactured in right-hand drive ahead of Ford and General Motors.

Since commencing operations in 2014, Ram Trucks Australia has seen consistent growth in sales year after year. In 2023 alone, the brand sold 6833 vehicles, with 1500 emerging as the most popular vehicle in the full-size pickup segment, with 5922 units sold. Ram vehicles are sourced from the US production line and undergo remanufacturing into right-hand drive for the Australian market at a facility in Clayton, Victoria, managed by local firm Walkinshaw.

Ram Trucks Australia offers a range of right-hand drive versions, including the 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickups. These vehicles cater to various customer needs, with prices ranging from $119,950 before on-road costs for the entry-level 1500 Big Horn to $224,950 plus on-roads for the flagship 1500 TRX.

Featuring V8 power across the 1500 lineup and a 6.7-litre turbo-diesel six-cylinder engine in the 2500 and 3500 versions, Ram Trucks deliver performance and capability tailored to Australian drivers’ preferences.

Despite competition from other brands, the Ram 1500 remains the best-selling vehicle in its segment. In the first quarter of this year, the full-sized pickup market in Australia experienced a 16.3 percent increase in sales compared to the same period last year, with Ram leading the charge alongside other notable contenders like Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota.
