In a similar vein to the light-duty 1500 series, Ram trucks’ heavy-duty lineup is receiving updates for the 2025 model year. Recently, car enthusiasts spotted a Michigan-plated 2500 Rebel sporting Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires, with minimal camouflage indicating changes.
The rear lights, rear bumper sides, and front end are camouflaged, though it’s evident what modifications are underway. The 2025 Ram HD appears to adopt headlights inspired by the 1500 series and slightly revised front bumpers. The 2500 Rebel is expected to feature a front bumper reminiscent of the 1500 Rebel, which is exclusively equipped with the standard-output Hurricane inline-six engine.
A new grille design is also anticipated, incorporating a large sensor where the grille meets the front bumper. Presented in a striking Hydro Blue paint, this vehicle boasts a hood reminiscent of the Ram 1500 RHO rather than the Ram 1500 Rebel.
Equipped with marker lights at the front of the roof, the heavy-duty truck likely features new taillights obscured by camouflage. However, significant changes are not expected in the interior.
Similar updates seen in the half-ton 1500 series, such as the availability of 12- or 14.5-inch touchscreen displays for the Uconnect 5 infotainment system and optional front passenger display, are anticipated to carry over to the heavy-duty Ram lineup. While the prototype’s interior is concealed by camouflage, these expected updates suggest continuity with the 1500 series.
Expected to be revealed this summer, the 2025 Ram HD will be manufactured at the Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant, employing nearly 300 salaried and 3,800 hourly workers across three shifts. This facility produces various Ram vehicles, including the 1500 Classic, 2500 through 5500 heavy-duty trucks, and the DX Chassis Cab for the Mexican market.
