In the United States, there are many different cars you can buy. From small electric cars like the Fiat 500e to big trucks like the Ford F-150. But sometimes, we miss out on cool cars, like the Subaru WRX Sportswagon.
This sporty wagon was made a few years ago, but it was never going to be sold in the US. However, now Subaru has decided to sell it in Mexico. This has made Subaru fans really excited, even though it’s unlikely to come to America.
The new WRX Sportswagon is already available for pre-order in Mexico. It will be in dealerships later this year. Just like the WRX sedan we can buy here, it has a turbocharged 2.4-liter engine. This engine makes 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.
The car comes with Subaru’s symmetrical all-wheel drive system, which is great for sporty driving. You can choose between a CVT automatic transmission or a manual one. The manual transmission will be cheaper than the automatic.
In Mexico, there are three different versions of the car you can buy. The cheapest one is called the WRX High, and it costs $48,400. The most expensive one is the WRX tS CVT, which costs about $54,300. That’s more expensive than the WRX Sedan we can buy in the US.
The WRX Sportswagon has been sold in other countries for a while now, like Australia, Japan, and Indonesia. Subaru thinks there’s a market for it in Mexico, so they’re selling it there. We don’t know yet if it will come to the US. We asked Subaru, but they didn’t say anything about it.
It’s a shame that we don’t get cool cars like the WRX Sportswagon here in the US. But there are still some exciting cars coming in the future, like the new BMW M5. Hopefully, we’ll get more cool cars like the Sportswagon in the future.
