The Cadillac V series has long been synonymous with high-performance luxury, and the second-generation Cadillac CTS-V is no exception. Introduced in 2003, the CTS-V lineup includes sedan, coupe, and wagon variants, all powered by a supercharged V8 engine.

Unlike its predecessor, which featured the LS6 and LS2 engines, the second-generation CTS-V is equipped with the LSA engine, delivering an impressive 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque. This formidable powertrain propels the CTS-V Coupe to new heights of performance, as demonstrated by its impressive quarter-mile time of 10.59 seconds at 128.52 mph.

While the CTS-V Coupe’s performance is commendable, it faces stiff competition from rivals like the Dodge Demon 170. With its 1,025 horsepower and 945 pound-feet of torque, the Demon 170 sets a new standard for muscle car performance, achieving a quarter-mile time of 9.98 seconds at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

In a showdown against the Challenger R/T Scat Pack 1320, the CTS-V Coupe demonstrates its prowess once again, outperforming the Challenger with a quarter-mile time of 11.44 seconds. Despite facing formidable competition, the CTS-V Coupe remains a formidable contender in the high-performance luxury segment, embodying Cadillac’s legacy of innovation and performance excellence.
