Bentley’s recent announcement regarding the introduction of the Ultra Performance Hybrid signals a significant shift for the Continental GT, Continental GTC, and Flying Spur models. This strategic move aligns with Bentley’s Beyond100 strategy, which includes discontinuing these models in key markets such as the United Kingdom, the European Union, and MEAI.
Coinciding with this transition, Bentley revealed the Edition 8, targeting North American consumers. Named after the eight cylinders of the Porsche-Audi V8 engine, this edition marks the culmination of Bentley’s Mulliner Personal Commissioning program.
Prospective buyers can customize their Edition 8 models with exclusive features, including distinctive wheel designs, Blackline exterior accents, Comfort Specification front seats, and a rotating display.
Additionally, Edition 8 offers a wide range of exterior paint colors from Mulliner’s extended palette, along with unique interior accents such as palm-fluted seat patterns.
Exclusive to North American markets, the Edition 8 boasts self-leveling wheel center caps, a jewel-style fuel filler cap, and LED welcome lamps. While Bentley has not disclosed production numbers, initial deliveries are imminent, signaling the beginning of a new era for these iconic models.
Under the hood, the Edition 8 is powered by a member of the KoVoMo engine family, delivering impressive performance and efficiency. With its distinctive design and bespoke features, the Edition 8 exemplifies Bentley’s commitment to luxury and craftsmanship, offering discerning customers an unparalleled driving experience.
