American Honda hasn’t introduced many new models or updates lately. Between its strong Q1 results (the best in three years) and a 12.4% surge in April deliveries, the company chose to highlight events like the Honda Battle of the Bands, making its Los Angeles debut next year, and the new AI-based Honda Scenic Audio app, aiming to make the “joy of the journey” accessible to the visually impaired.
To compete better with Toyota, they’ll need to step up their game this spring. But no worries, let the rumor mill and digital car content creators handle what Honda fans crave. For instance, AutoYa’s YouTube channel imagined the refreshed sixth-generation Honda CR-V, the company’s top US nameplate.
They noted the CR-V’s slowing sales, up just 1.4% in April 2024 from the previous year, although the first four months of the year saw a 28.5% increase. The channel worries that the CR-V might need a quick refresh.
So, their video showcases a hypothetical 2025 Honda CR-V with subtle exterior changes: a thinner grille, reworked headlights, and different wheels. Inside, they predict a vertically oriented 15-inch central infotainment screen.
While these are just renderings, Honda needs more novelties to compete with Toyota’s big lineup for 2025, including the Crown, Tacoma i-Force Max, and others. So, who will prevail, especially if Toyota reveals a new RAV4 to rival the refreshed 2025 CR-V later this year?
