The Baby II, a scaled-down replica of the Type 35 race car, was initially showcased in 2019 at the Geneva Motor Show. Recently, The Little Car Company introduced a new iteration of the Baby II, paying homage to the Type 35’s debut in racing a century ago.
Named the Baby II Type 35 Centenary Edition, this limited production run comprises six units, each adorned with liveries and race numbers reminiscent of historic Bugatti race cars. Featuring aluminum bodies, cockpits, and electric drivetrains, these mini vehicles offer impressive performance for their size.
In addition to the unique aesthetics, the Centenary Edition models boast special appointments, including brass identification plates, matching chassis numbers to the original Type 35s, and hand-painted entry numbers. Despite the exclusivity and craftsmanship, pricing details for the special models have not been disclosed.
While originally priced at $32,500, the Baby II has seen significant demand, with all six Centenary Edition units already spoken for. This underscores the enduring appeal of these miniature replicas and their significance in automotive history.
