For the LT2 engine, Paragon Performance provides a flex-fuel kit that includes a specially tuned HP Tuners tune for the highly encrypted E99 engine management unit. At $4,699.99, the package includes quick-disconnect gasoline lines, a genuine GM flex-fuel sensor, and a plug-and-play wiring harness.

Two additional features include an Active Fuel Management delete and a Burble Tune. AFM is the fuel-saving technology that turns the 6.2-liter V8 into a four-cylinder in certain scenarios, while Burble Tune enhances exhaust pops and crackles.

A near stock, white-painted Stingray with a cat-back exhaust and the E85 kit showcases impressive performance. With 93 octane fuel, it produces 440 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. Using a 65-percent E85 blend, Paragon Performance co-owner and tuner Graham reports 470 horsepower and 466 pound-feet of torque, with potential for more using a higher ethanol blend.

On Paragon’s website, the max power and torque ratings on E85 are 500.25 horsepower and 486.45 pound-feet. This means more power and torque at the wheels than GM’s advertised crankshaft numbers.

However, potential buyers should note that installing this kit may void the vehicle’s warranty, unless the manufacturer can prove the aftermarket part caused a problem, as per the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act of 1975. For those not concerned about the warranty risk, there are other options like a twin-turbo or supercharger kit.

BoostDistrict offers a twin-turbo kit for $21,250, installed and tuned. Those waiting for the all-new Corvette ZR1 in summer 2024 might prefer to hold off. The upcoming C8-generation ZR1, expected to be GM’s most powerful ICE-only vehicle, should feature around 800 horsepower from a twin-turbo 5.5L V8, compared to the 755 horsepower from the supercharged 6.2L V8 in the C7-gen ZR1.
