The major automakers, like General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and Stellantis, have largely shifted away from producing passenger cars, focusing instead on a variety of crossovers, SUVs, and trucks.
For the upcoming 2025 model year, only a few models remain, including the C8 Chevrolet Corvette, the 60th anniversary S650 seventh-generation Ford Mustang, and the eighth-generation all-electric or inline-six-equipped Dodge Charger sedan or fastback coupe.
However, where traditional automakers may fall short, digital car content creators step in to fill the gap. Abimelec Arellano, known as abimelecdesign on social media, recently revealed his latest project, adding to his series focused on the Big Detroit Three.
In April, he revisited the newly announced Dodge Charger, enhancing a Plum Crazy example with a widebody aerodynamic kit and distinctive Rotiform wheels. He also introduced new color options, including silver, crimson, light blue, and satin blue.
Inspired by the Mustang’s 60th anniversary, Arellano imagined the S650 with a vintage NASCAR treatment, drawing from the Ford Galaxie era. This involved modifications such as larger tires, steel wheels, a vintage-style livery, and a roll cage, all in a dual-tone color scheme.
Completing the trilogy in May, Arellano tackled a unique challenge: fitting a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine into a C6 Chevrolet Corvette. This “slow C6” concept featured various performance upgrades, including ProCharger Superchargers components, Weld Racing drag package for the rear wheels, blue Volk Wheels up front, and a restomod-style Morimoto Lighting LED setup.
