Paragon Performance offers C8 Corvette Convertible owners two clear engine covers: a carbon fiber option with a 24- by 14-inch window and a full clear cover measuring 40 by 30 inches. The full clear cover, made of thermal plastic, is Paragon’s best-seller at $599.99 and fits both the Stingray and Z06 models. It can be paired with a $499.99 carbon fiber intake manifold cover.
The carbon fiber-edged clear cover adds sophistication to the engine bay and is priced at $1,199.99, similar to GM’s offering. However, Paragon’s cover for the E-Ray doesn’t include a cutout for the high-voltage battery’s coolant reservoir.
The E-Ray’s 1.9-kWh battery powers a 160-hp electric motor, providing significant torque at certain speeds. It operates in electric-only mode up to 45 mph and assists the 6.2-liter V8 up to 150 mph, with the V8 capable of reaching 183 mph. The Stingray and Z06 have higher top speeds of 194 and 195 mph, respectively, with the Z51 and Z07 packages slightly reducing these figures.
The upcoming 2025 C8 ZR1 will enhance the Z06 with turbochargers, producing at least 800 hp. Following the ZR1, the C8 will culminate with the hybrid twin-turbo Zora, expected to generate around 1,000 hp.
