Velocity Modern Classic introduced 1967-1968 Ford Mustang Convertible

Velocity Modern Classic (VMC) has introduced a new Convertible Package for the 1967-1968 Ford Mustang Convertible. This package combines classic style with modern features and performance. The soft-top design remains true to the original ’60s Mustang, but VMC has upgraded it with electric motors and hydraulics. Now, the roof can be easily opened and closed with just the touch of a button. Customers have four color options to choose from: black, brown, cream, and tan.

But that’s not all. Under the hood, there’s a Gen III Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, producing a powerful 460 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque. Customers can select either a T-56 six-speed manual transmission for an engaging driving experience or a 10R80 10-speed automatic gearbox for a more relaxed ride. The engine also benefits from custom headers and a serpentine system. Plus, there’s a stainless-steel exhaust system with Borla mufflers, enhancing the V8 sound.

To ensure the Mustang handles the power, VMC has installed a new Roadster Shop Mustang SPEC chassis, improving its handling and stability. The car now features independent front suspension, a front sway bar, rack-and-pinion power steering, and a rear suspension with a four-link setup. Adjustable Fox coilovers provide comfort and control. The brakes have been upgraded with Baer four-piston calipers, 11-inch rotors, and an Electric iBooster from Bosch, ensuring precise stopping power.

On the exterior, the Mustang receives custom BASF Glasurit paint, giving it a stunning finish. Customers can also opt for racing stripes for a sporty look. VMC has added a vented hood for better engine cooling and updated the headlights and taillights with LED units. Inside, the interior maintains its classic design but now includes modern amenities like climate control, sound deadening for a quieter ride, and a new sound system with RetroSound head unit and Focal speakers.

The Convertible Package offers a blend of iconic styling with modern features and performance enhancements. It’s available as a $30,000 upgrade for the Signature Series Mustang, starting at $299,900 excluding options.
