Shelby American has just released the configurator for its upcoming Shelby Super Snake models. However, the options are limited, mostly just choosing colors and graphics. The car is based on a Mustang GT Premium with extra features, priced around $52,000 on Ford’s site but $59,440 on Shelby’s.
When customizing your Super Snake, first choose between convertible or fastback. The fastback saves weight and reduces the price by $5,500. Then, decide between automatic or manual transmission, depending on whether you want speed or a more engaging drive.
There are six color options, three free and three with added cost. Free colors include Oxford White, Iconic Silver, and Shadow Black, while Atlas Blue and Race Red cost an extra $295, and Rapid Red Metallic costs $495. Graphics packages are available in Satin Black, Satin Blue, Satin White, or Satin Silver, at no extra charge, though they can’t be removed.
After that, get ready for some serious performance. The Super Snake comes with a Whipple Supercharger, upgraded cooling system, Borla exhaust, Shelby suspension, 20-inch forged magnesium wheels, new brakes, and more. It boasts 830 horsepower, even more than the Absurd Mustang GTD.
The exterior features wider track, hood vents, a new front fascia, and a ducktail spoiler. Convertibles get a roll bar, while fastbacks get a carbon fiber rear wing. Inside, there are upholstery upgrades and special plaques to show you’ve got one of just 250 available models.
