The Lamborghini Urus is a fancy SUV that’s all about speed. It’s made for people who love cars and need the space of an SUV but still want the power of a Lamborghini.
Because it’s so fast, some people might want to drive it really quickly, maybe even on a racetrack. But going too fast can be dangerous. If you drive the Urus over 94 mph, there’s a chance the hood could come off.
In the United States, there aren’t many places where you can legally drive that fast. Plus, new laws might make it even harder. But even on a racetrack, people might go faster than 94 mph. So, this is a serious problem.
Lamborghini is recalling 2,133 Urus SUVs because of this issue. But only about two percent of them might actually have the problem. Still, it’s important to check to be sure.
The problem is with the parts that hold the hood closed. If they don’t work right, air can get under the hood at high speeds, and it might come off completely.
Fixing it is pretty easy. Owners just need to take their cars to the dealer for a check-up. If there’s a problem, they’ll fix it for free. Owners will get letters about this by July 5th. But if the hood doesn’t line up right with the rest of the car, that might mean there’s a problem.
This all started when a couple of cars had issues with the hood, and then one actually came off. That’s when Lamborghini started looking into it and decided to do the recall.
