When one company stops making trucks for adventures, another company steps up. EarthCruiser, based in Oregon, stopped making trucks in April. But now, Krug Expedition from Austria is making a big truck called the Bedrock XT2.

Krug is only 13 years old, and they make similar trucks to EarthCruiser in Europe. But now, they’re making a new truck called the Bedrock XT2, based on a Ford F-500 truck. This new truck competes with EarthRoamer, which also uses Ford trucks.

The Bedrock XT2 is different in two ways. First, it has an extra axle in the back, making it a six-wheeler with four-wheel drive. This helps spread out the weight. Second, Krug got help from Arctic Trucks in Iceland to design the chassis. They made it with bigger tires and better brakes. The truck has a powerful Ford diesel engine, a large fuel tank, and lots of features like limited-slip differentials and a tire inflation system.

Inside, there’s a lot of space. The camper is made of strong materials, and it has a big bed, a kitchen, a dinette, and a bathroom with a shower and toilet. There’s also a big water tank that filters water multiple times for drinking. The truck uses diesel for heating and has a solar panel to charge a big battery. It also has TVs and internet.

The starting price is $690,000, which is a bit cheaper than EarthRoamer trucks. You can order one now, and they will officially show it at the Overland Expo West in Flagstaff on May 17th.
