Subaru expanded the WRX lineup for 2024 with the new manual-only TR model, which featured a series of upgrades, including brakes, stiffer springs, retuned steering, and front Recaro bucket seats. Now, Subaru is adding another special performance model with the 2025 WRX tS. That moniker stands for “tuned by STI,” and the latest WRX variant gains a new suspension tweaked by the STI performance division, along with a new digital gauge cluster.

The WRX tS sports unique interior and exterior accents and a fully digital gauge cluster. It will be available at Subaru retailers nationwide in early 2025. The model is equipped with a high-performance Brembo braking system featuring 6-piston front and 2-piston rear gold calipers, larger pads, and rotors for superior stopping power and pedal feel. It also includes 245/35 R19 Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires for better grip and braking performance.

The WRX tS introduces Drive Mode Select, previously exclusive to the WRX GT, allowing drivers to adjust performance with Comfort, Normal, and Sport settings. The vehicle’s wide-body design exudes an aggressive and bold look, featuring a hexagonal grille, compact headlights, and a prominent hood scoop. Exterior elements such as the mirrors, roof-mounted shark fin antenna, and rear spoiler are finished in Crystal Black Silica, with the tS badge on the rear deck lid and magma-inspired taillights.

Standard 19-inch multi-spoke wheels in satin gray complete the exterior. Inside, the WRX tS offers a new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and features blue accents on the seat bolsters, steering wheel, door panels, and shifter trim, along with the STI logo on the ignition start button. For weight reduction, the power moonroof is omitted, and the vehicle includes Recaro Performance Design front seats with black Ultrasuede and blue accents.

The WRX tS is equipped with the latest SUBARU STARLINK 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus system, offering wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and other features. The EyeSight Driver Assist Technology comes standard, along with Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and a 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER engine delivering 271 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

The WRX tS will hit dealerships early next year, with pricing being announced later in 2024. While the 2024 WRX starts at $33,855, the TR model costs $42,775, and the GT goes for $45,335, so the tS will undoubtedly be over the $40K mark.
