The 2025 Cadillac XT4 is getting some changes. In the past, you could get a basic version called the Luxury trim with front-wheel drive. But now, that option is gone. The lowest-priced 2024 XT4 starts at $39,090. The next level up is the Premium Luxury FWD, which starts at $42,690, which is $3,600 more. Usually, when this happens, the new base model costs at least that much more, sometimes even more because they add new features. The bad news is that the starting price for the 2025 XT4 is higher than before. But the good news is that it’s not as much higher as expected.

According to Cars Direct, the prices for the new models are as follows:

– Premium Luxury: $41,990 (which is $700 less than before)
– Sport: $42,790 (which is $400 less than before)

Instead of keeping the $3,600 difference between the 2024 XT4 Luxury and XT4 Premium Luxury, Cadillac lowered the price of the 2025 XT4 Premium Luxury. So now, the real difference between the starting prices is $2,900. And it looks like Cadillac didn’t raise the destination charge either. The fee for shipping adds $1,195 to the XT4’s price, while most other Cadillac models charge $1,395. But that might change soon.

Even though Cadillac added more features to the 2025 XT4, they lowered the prices. Now, the Active Safety Package comes standard. Before, you had to pay $1,825 extra for it. This package includes things like adaptive cruise control, enhanced lane-keep assist, speed limit assist, surround-view cameras, and reverse automatic braking.

In 2024, Cadillac raised the price by $1,600 for the XT4. They made the XT4 nicer inside and added a 33-inch touchscreen. But even with that, getting rid of the base Luxury trim seems like a good idea. Before the changes, it wasn’t easy to recommend the base Luxury trim. Buyers couldn’t get certain options, like the Active Safety Package or the Technology Package, which cost $1,650, or the Comfort and Convenience Package, which cost $850.

The last 2024 XT4s will be made at the end of May, and production of the 2025 XT4 will start next week.
