The arrival of Audi’s RS 4 Avant edition 25 years ago and the RS 5 Sportback performance edition has stirred considerable excitement among automotive enthusiasts in Europe. Marking a special anniversary, the RS 4 Avant is priced at £148,000 in the UK and is limited to just 250 units across the continent, with the UK receiving 50 of these.

Additionally, the UK will get 10 units of the RS 5 Sportback performance edition. Both models come with a robust V6 bi-turbo engine, offering 464 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. In the United States, the 2024 RS 5 Sportback starts at $79,900, adding a high-end option to Audi’s lineup.

Although these models showcase impressive engineering, they do not surpass the performance of rivals like the BMW M3 Touring and M4 Competition xDrive, which deliver 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque with their S58 engines, underlining the competitive nature of this segment.

Audi is setting new benchmarks in automotive performance and handling with its latest releases. The RS 4 Avant, paying homage to its storied past, comes in striking colors like Imola Yellow, Nardo Gray, and Mythos Black.

Inside, the customizable MMI system, featuring white backgrounds for the tachometer and speedometer, adds a refined touch. However, buyers should be prepared for significant price tags, beginning at 128,420 euros ($139,571) for the RS 5 and 142,905 euros ($155,313) for the RS 4 Avant.
