In a strategic move to capture the affordable electric vehicle market, Jeep is set to launch a $25,000 electric crossover in the US, according to Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares. While the eagerly anticipated model is not among the latest announcements, Jeep has revealed two new electric vehicles.
Notably, the Jeep Avenger, already available in Europe, is priced at approximately $38,000, beyond the expected budget-friendly range. The newly introduced Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk concept, designed for off-road enthusiasts, showcases features like a Rock mode and an electronic rear-axle locker, elevating Jeep’s renowned off-road performance into the electric era.
However, the true spotlight is on the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S, Jeep’s inaugural global battery-powered SUV. Scheduled for release in the US and Canada this fall, the Wagoneer S Launch Edition will retail at $71,995, including destination fees.
Positioned between the $77,990 Model X and the $51,490 Model Y Performance, the Wagoneer S combines power and luxury with 45 inches of screen space, premium seating, and a top-tier McIntosh audio system.
Additionally, the SUV boasts all-wheel drive, a dual-motor setup, the Selec-Terrain traction management system, and over 170 safety features, emphasizing a comprehensive and secure driving experience.
