Costco members really like Chevy trucks. According to Costco, the Chevrolet Silverado has been the most requested Chevrolet and pickup truck through the Costco Auto Program for the past 11 years. Every time Costco partners with Chevrolet for special offers, the Silverado has been the top-selling vehicle. Now, for the months of June and July, Costco has added the Silverado and the GMC Sierra to its Costco Auto Savings Event. Until July 31, 2024, members can get an extra $1,000 discount on top of any manufacturer incentives when buying or leasing new examples of either truck.

The Auto Savings event isn’t just for trucks. The $1,000 incentive also applies to certain other Chevy and GMC models, as well as Volvo and Cadillac. If you’re interested in the Polestar 2, you can get $2,000 off.

To learn more about the Costco Auto Program and its frequently asked questions, you can read our write-up. Basically, Costco works with selected dealerships to help customers. There are about 3,000 participating dealerships across most automotive brands. With the program, there’s no need to haggle over the price for a straightforward purchase.

Costco provides a research tool so customers can compare vehicles by type and features. Once a customer decides on a car, they can visit the dealership and talk to an “Authorized Dealer Contact” to inspect the vehicle and go over the details. The only negotiation would involve a trade-in, which is between the customer and the dealer.

Customers can also check out the Costco Member-Only Price Sheet, which shows prearranged pricing. The savings can be displayed in two ways: either listing pricing for all models available at the dealership or showing a VIN-specific price based on the selected vehicle, including any manufacturer incentives or rebates.

For those interested in electric vehicles, the program offers the same $1,000 discount on the Chevy Blazer EV and Equinox EV.
