In the first five months of the year, Hyundai Motor America saw a commendable 2% rise in sales, with May alone experiencing a remarkable 12% increase.
This surge set new records for models like the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, Santa Cruz, Tucson, Santa Fe hybrids, and the flagship Palisade. Over 78,000 units were sold in May, pushing the year-to-date total to nearly 332,000 units.
Launched in the US for the 2020 model year, the updated 2023 Palisade, showcased at the New York International Auto Show in April 2022, features a redesigned front and a more sophisticated interior with a larger 12.3-inch navigation system.
The Palisade SE trim, priced starting at $36,650, is powered by a 3.8-liter GDI V6 engine producing 291 horsepower, available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations, and can seat eight passengers.
Despite being on the market for several years, it remains popular among American buyers. Anticipation builds as Hyundai prepares for the next generation of the Palisade, with numerous prototype sightings and leaks.
Digital creators, like the AutoYa info channel on YouTube, have released CGI images of the future 2025 or 2026 model, highlighting features such as a front LED lightbar, a large radiator grille, and vertically-stacked LED headlights.
Inside, the new model is expected to expand on Santa Fe’s interior design to fit the larger Palisade, promising to enhance its appeal with modern features and updated styling.
