Four years after the release of the current BMW X3 (G01), whispers are swirling about its replacement. The next-generation X3, codenamed G45, is expected to be revealed soon, possibly later this month.
Unlike the upcoming electric-focused iX3 which will adopt a whole new platform, the G45 is likely to stick with an improved version of the CLAR architecture.
This suggests a more conventional design approach, avoiding the potentially divisive styling choices of the Neue Klasse vehicles. The G45 is still anticipated to offer a variety of engine options, including gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid variants.
As the electric vehicle market continues to surge, BMW is set to reveal a new generation of its X3 SUV. While traditional diesel options will still be offered, expect a strong focus on the electric variant.
Rumors also suggest a high-performance M variant is in the works. While leaked images provide hints of the design, featuring the classic BMW kidney grille and familiar LED taillights, the official look remains under wraps until the official release.
