Lego released a new version of the Lamborghini Countach, a car they first made for their Speed Champions series years ago. This time, though, it’s not just a small toy but a large model designed for adult builders.
The kit has 1,506 pieces that come together to create a replica of the Countach. It’s about 13 inches long, 6.5 inches wide, and 3.5 inches tall. Lego paid close attention to detail: the famous scissor doors open upwards, just like they do on real Lamborghinis. Inside, you’ll find a red interior with two seats, a wide dashboard with Lamborghini gauges, and climate control buttons on the center console. They even included matching door panels.
The model looks a lot like the real Countach. It has NACA ducts on the sides, air intakes behind the doors, and a large rear spoiler. The rear wheels are wider than the front ones, just like on the real car, and the front wheels turn when you move the steering wheel. There’s even a miniature version of the 5.0-liter V12 engine in the back.
Lego’s new Lamborghini Countach set will be available in stores worldwide starting July 4th. It costs $180 before taxes. To give you an idea, the smaller and less detailed version of the Countach costs about $25. In comparison, buying a real Lamborghini Countach can cost more than $500,000.
