Revealing its latest electric vehicle, Hyundai has introduced the Inster, aiming to redefine expectations for compact electric cars.
The name reflects the car’s blend of practicality and innovation, promising a combination of comfort and cutting-edge features in a small package.
With a targeted driving range exceeding 220 miles and a design inspired by the well-received Casper, the Inster hints at spacious interiors, ample cargo room, and potentially even a front trunk for additional storage.
Debuting at the Busan International Mobility Show in Korea, the 2024 Hyundai Inster is the brand’s new electric vehicle aiming to be their most affordable offering. While sharing some design cues with the gasoline powered Casper, the Inster sets itself apart with a modern electric aesthetic.
Look for distinctive pixel-like taillights reminiscent of the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, a closed-off grille signifying its electric nature, and unique front lighting. The interior is expected to borrow heavily from the Casper, potentially featuring a large infotainment system and a digital gauge cluster with electric vehicle-specific details.
With a targeted price tag under €20,000 ($21,500), With the Inster, Hyundai’s electric vehicle lineup is expected to offer an attractive starting point. Expect more details about the powertrain and other features to be revealed in late June alongside the car’s official debut.
