Debuting in early 2024, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 marks a turning point with its twin-turbo 5.5L DOHC V8 (LT7) replacing the familiar supercharged 6.2L LT5.

A recent safety recall has been issued for Chevrolet Corvette C8 models manufactured during a specific timeframe.

The issue affects vehicles built between September 18th, 2023, and March 22nd, 2024, and is centered around a malfunction with the seatbelt retractor mechanism.

General Motors has announced a recall for the 2024 and 2025 Chevrolet Corvette due to a potential issue with the driver and passenger seatbelt retractors.

These retractors may contain two internal components that are out of specification, causing the seatbelts to become locked in the stowed position and unusable.

This safety risk prompted a stop-delivery order for affected Corvettes in June 2024 as dealerships await replacement parts. While no injuries have been reported, GM will begin notifying owners in late July to schedule a free repair at their Chevrolet dealership.
