A rare Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of only nine ever produced, recently crossed the auction block for a cool $6 million.
Revealed in 2014 to celebrate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, the Veneno Roadster boasts a design that blurs the lines between a road car and a racing prototype.
This particular example, previously owned by a member of the Saudi Arabian royal family, is finished in a stunning Nero black paint job with contrasting Verde green accents and a luxurious Verde leather interior.
A rare Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, the second of only nine ever made, has had a rollercoaster ride on the market.
Despite its initial undisclosed price tag, the car’s value has fluctuated dramatically over the years. In 2023, it was offered for a staggering $9.52 million but failed to find a buyer.
After two years in Dubai dealerships, it resurfaced online with a more reasonable price tag of $6 million, finally selling through SBX, the dealership run by social media star Supercar Blondie.
This sale marked the most expensive car ever sold online, surpassing a 2017 LaFerrari Aperta that went for $5.36 million on the same platform.
While the Veneno’s new owner and destination remain a mystery, hopefully, it will find a home where it can be enjoyed, not just displayed.
