A social media post by vburlapp has car enthusiasts buzzing about a possible next-generation Jeep Renegade.

This digital artwork reimagines the Renegade with a completely modern look, featuring a fresh take on the roofline, tailgate, and profile. The reimagining extends to the vehicle’s three-quarter design and taillights as well.

While the design is undeniably attractive, some critics might find it derivative, resembling existing subcompact crossovers from Hyundai and Nissan.

They argue that the illustration lacks the distinct character of a Jeep, with the brand’s logo on the tailgate being the only giveaway. Interestingly, Jeep recently discontinued the Renegade in the US and Canada, although it remains on their website with a listed MSRP of $28,345.

Jeep has made changes to its lineup of small SUVs. The Jeep Compass has taken over the Renegade’s spot as the most affordable Jeep option, with a starting price of $25,900.

In Europe, Jeep recently updated the Renegade with a host of new tech features, including a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and wireless smartphone integration.

These upgrades aim to keep the Renegade competitive as Jeep considers the possibility of an all-electric Renegade in the future. This new electric Renegade could be built on a platform shared with the Alfa Romeo Junior, another car from Jeep’s parent company Stellantis.
