BMW is shaking things up with a bold redesign for the 2025 X3. This fourth-generation model boasts a controversial new look, featuring a larger footprint and a lower stance compared to its predecessor.
While some may find the design jarring, it’s clear BMW is embracing a fresh direction for its popular luxury crossover SUV.
Despite the exterior changes, the X3 remains a gasoline-powered option for the American market, at least until the arrival of the electric iX3 next year.
Inside, the driver-centric cabin features BMW’s latest technological advancements, including the Curved Display and Interaction Bar.
A blend of luxury and practicality, the 2025 BMW X3 boasts a spacious interior with ample cargo room that can expand from 31.5 to 67.1 cubic feet and a towing capacity of up to 4,850 lbs.
New for this generation are heated sports seats with a vegan leather option, alongside a first-ever woven fabric instrument panel made from recycled materials. Packed with the latest technology, the X3 offers a suite of driver assistance features and a revamped infotainment system.
BMW is launching the X3 in the fourth quarter of 2024, with two engine options in the US: a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with mild hybrid assist in the 30 xDrive model, and a powerful 3.0-liter inline-six with mild hybrid assist and M Performance upgrades in the M50 xDrive model.
