Following the success of the Stellantis Smart Car Platform for the Citroen C3, Opel Frontera, and Fiat Grande Panda, Citroen is introducing the second-generation C3 Aircross.
This European-market SUV boasts a stylish and functional design targeted at families and active individuals. Unlike the recently revealed Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV, the C3 Aircross offers a distinct look and feature set.
Built on a new platform and boasting Citroen’s signature design language, the C3 Aircross prioritizes comfort with its Citroen Advanced Comfort suspension and spacious interior. Notably, the extended 4.39-meter length allows for a segment-first: up to seven seats.
In France, the starting price for the Citroen C3 Aircross varies depending on the chosen powertrain, ranging from €19,400 to €27,400.
Orders will open soon in other European markets. Citroen offers three engine options: a base gasoline model with a 101-horsepower turbocharged engine and manual transmission, a new mild hybrid option with a 1.2-liter engine and electric motor paired with an automatic transmission (available in both five and seven-seat configurations), and an all-electric version with a 111-horsepower electric motor and 44-kWh battery pack.
The all-electric C3 Aircross boasts a range of up to 300 km and a top speed of 145 kph. While charging times vary depending on the charger used, DC fast charging offers the fastest option, taking only 26 minutes to go from 10% to 80% battery capacity.
Citroen is also developing a version with a larger battery for a projected range of over 400 km, expected to be introduced in 2025.
