Though the muscle car era began to wind down in the early 1970s, 1969 saw Detroit automakers still vying for horsepower dominance on both the sales floor and the racetrack.

Ford, for example, unleashed a trio of new Mustangs brimming with performance. One, the Mach 1, proved so popular with its array of engine choices and racing-inspired features that it led to the discontinuation of the Mustang GT.

The other two newcomers, however, bore the “Boss” moniker and arrived at dealerships with a different purpose: homologation.

The 1969 Boss 302 stands out as a legend, offering a thrilling combination of power and collectability at a price point more accessible than its sibling, the mighty Boss 429. But not all Boss 302s are created equal.

Some configurations are exceptionally rare, sending shivers down the spines of collectors. This is where the Calypso Coral Boss 302 comes in a stunning sight with only 1628 units produced in 1969.

However, this particular example takes rarity to another level. Instead of the usual black interior, it features a beautiful white option, potentially making it one of just a handful in existence.
