Renault has revealed details on the UK pricing and specifications of its new Symbioz crossover, following its initial reveal a few months back.
The Symbioz enters the market in three trims: Techno, Techno Esprit Alpine, and Iconic Esprit Alpine. With a starting price of £29,295, the top-of-the-line trim variant approaches the price point of a base BMW X1.
Under the hood, the Symbioz features an electrified powertrain that merges a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, generating a combined output of 145 horsepower. Power is delivered to the front wheels through an automatic transmission.
While acceleration might not be lightning-fast, taking 10.6 seconds to reach 0-62 mph, the Symbioz prioritizes fuel efficiency, achieving an impressive combined rating of 60.1 mpg.
Renault strategically positions the Symbioz within its lineup, slotting in between the Captur and Austral.
The crossover boasts a roomy interior with a generous 624-liter trunk capacity. Additionally, the rear seats fold flat, creating a maximized cargo space for when you need to haul more gear.
Sharing a platform with the Clio and Captur, the Symbioz keeps its weight under 1,500 kg, making it a maneuverable option.
In terms of features, Renault doesn’t disappoint. The base Techno trim boasts 18-inch wheels, LED lights, and a panoramic infotainment system alongside driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control and emergency braking.
Opting for the Techno Esprit Alpine upgrades the look with larger wheels, blacked-out accents, and sporty interior touches.
Stepping up to the Iconic Esprit Alpine adds the ultimate in convenience and safety with a hands-free parking system, a surround-view camera, and a premium sound system. With orders open now in the UK and deliveries starting this September, the Symbioz is poised to make a splash.
