Launched in July 2023, AEC Specialty Vehicles (AECSV) caters to European car enthusiasts craving American muscle. A subsidiary of AEC Group, AECSV specializes in importing General Motors (GM) vehicles, initially focusing on internal combustion engine models like the Chevrolet Silverado and Cadillac Escalade.

Their services extend beyond import, encompassing homologation, distribution, and supplying parts and accessories for these popular rides. True to their promise of expanding their offerings, AECSV announced exciting news for European Corvette fans in April 2024.

Their dealer network will now distribute the iconic C8 Corvette, including the high-performance Z06, in select European markets. While details on pricing and availability remain under wraps, this news sent shivers down the spines of Corvette enthusiasts across Europe.

This announcement outlines the availability and pricing for the C8 Stingray and Z06, offering a taste of the American muscle car experience. While the selection won’t encompass every single variant, European buyers will have the chance to choose between the sleek coupe and the open-air thrill of the convertible body style.

Trim levels for the Stingray include the 2LT and 3LT, while the mighty Z06 comes solely in the 3LZ configuration. However, be prepared for a price tag that reflects the Corvette’s legendary status.

The most wallet-friendly option, the 2LT Stingray coupe, starts at a significant €92,429 (roughly USD 101,000). Prices then climb progressively, reaching a peak of €165,539 (approximately $175,000 USD) for the range-topping Z06 convertible equipped with the 3LZ trim.

It’s important to note that European regulations necessitate some minor adjustments to the C8’s specifications compared to its American counterpart. Although the core 6.2L LT2 and 5.5L LT6 V8 engines remain unchanged, the Stingray produces a slightly lower 482 horsepower compared to the potential 495 hp offered in the US.

Similarly, the Z06 delivers 646 hp on European soil, detuned from the 670 hp available stateside. Nevertheless, both models retain the option to be equipped with their respective Z51 and Z07 performance packages, ensuring that European drivers can still experience the exhilarating edge the Corvette is renowned for.
