Facing potential stagnation in sales for the current Tucson (NX4) launched in 2022, Hyundai has revealed a mid-cycle refresh to reignite consumer interest in the popular compact SUV. Debuting in Europe last November 2023, the updated Tucson boasts significant upgrades in technology, following its US introduction in March 2024 at the New York Auto Show.

While an initial June launch was anticipated, Hyundai recently announced pricing for the refreshed model, with deliveries commencing at US dealerships this July. Starting at $29,750, the 2025 Tucson presents an attractive proposition for SUV buyers seeking a blend of affordability and cutting-edge features.

The 2.5-liter gasoline variants will be the first to hit showrooms, with the 1.6-liter turbo hybrid and plug-in hybrid models scheduled to arrive later in the summer. This strategic rollout ensures a steady stream of new Tucson options for consumers throughout the season.

Delivering a spectrum of choices for budget-minded and feature-hungry consumers alike, the 2025 Hyundai Tucson hits the ground running with a price range starting from $34,510 for the Blue Hybrid trim.

This caters to eco-conscious buyers seeking value, while those prioritizing top-of-the-line amenities can explore the Limited trims with hybrid or plug-in hybrid configurations, reaching a maximum of $50,485. While the exterior maintains a look that’s familiar yet refined, the interior undergoes a metamorphosis.

A dominant feature is the panoramic curved display, which seamlessly integrates a large digital instrument cluster and an even bigger touchscreen infotainment system. In a move applauded by previous model owners, Hyundai ditches the touch-centric controls in favor of physical buttons for essential functions like climate control, resulting in a more user-friendly experience.

The upgrades extend beyond the infotainment system, with a redesigned center console, steering wheel, and door panels offering additional storage for front-seat passengers. Although the gasoline engine retains its current output, both hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants benefit from a significant power boost.

The hybrid model now produces a healthy 231 horsepower, while the plug-in hybrid delivers a gutsier 268 horsepower. Adding to the comfort equation for eco-conscious drivers, these electrified Tucsons come equipped with adjustable regenerative braking, allowing them to personalize the braking feel for a smoother ride.

Further enhancing the family-friendly nature of the Tucson is the innovative driver-selectable Baby Mode. This ingenious system effectively reduces acceleration intensity, ensuring a more calming journey for little ones on board.
