Forget the ubiquitous crossovers and electric SUVs flooding the market. A breath of fresh air arrives with the Cadillac Sollei Concept. While it joins the ranks of exciting “what-ifs” like the Ciel and Elmiraj, the Sollei takes inspiration from the recently revealed Celestiq.
This electric drop-top boasts a sleek silhouette, echoing the Celestiq’s bold front end with its intricate lighting and imposing grille. The rear features minimalist taillights, a luxurious metallic roof that folds away, and a stunning Manila Cream paint job a color Cadillac hasn’t used since the late 1950s.
Cadillac’s revealed Sollei concept has been turning heads for its design, but details remain shrouded under secrecy, particularly regarding its powertrain.
While specifics are unconfirmed, whispers suggest it might borrow the Celestiq’s impressive setup: a dual-motor system with all-wheel drive, generating roughly 600 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque.
This would propel the Sollei from 0 to 60 mph in a brisk 3.8 seconds and offer a driving range of around 300 miles. Cadillac’s likely testing the waters to gauge interest in a limited-production Sollei.
After all, a high-priced, open-top luxury car wouldn’t exactly be a mass-market proposition. With its production-ready appearance, this concept seems like a strategic move to assess potential buyer response.
