While Cadillac’s latest Escalade boasts a futuristic interior and other innovations, owners of previous models are still finding ways to personalize their SUVs. One such example is a Montana-based Escalade-V that has undergone a dramatic transformation.
Dressed in an all-black exterior with privacy windows, the SUV’s only bright spots are the Cadillac emblems and red Forgiato logos. However, it’s the colossal 30-inch Forgiato wheels that truly steal the show.
Despite their immense size, these wheels fit surprisingly well under the Escalade’s arches without requiring any body modifications. The black finish and bold design of the wheels give the luxury SUV an unexpected rugged appearance.
Enormous alloy wheels, regardless of the vehicle, often compromise ride comfort. This Cadillac Escalade-V is a prime example, its opulent stature diminished by an exaggerated stance courtesy of 30-inch Forgiato rims.
While the SUV’s 6.2-liter supercharged V8, delivering 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque, promises exhilarating performance, the oversized wheels undoubtedly detract from the Escalade-V’s inherent athleticism.
We prefer the subtlety of original equipment wheels or, at least, more modestly sized aftermarket options wrapped in substantial tires. After all, comfort matters, especially as age creeps in.
This particular Escalade-V, reminiscent of a digital rendering we featured earlier, is a potent machine, capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in a mere 4.4 seconds. However, the added weight and rolling resistance from those gargantuan wheels likely hinder its performance.
