A 36-day miracle unfolded when Rock Bottom Offroad transformed a 1968 Dodge Power Wagon into a monstrous off-roader for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. Faced with a daunting deadline for the SEMA show, the team embraced the challenge, retaining only the original body while engineering an entirely new beast.
A supercharged Redeye Hellcrate engine now roars beneath the hood, delivering an astonishing 809 horsepower through a TRX-sourced transmission. Massive suspension components, including 36-inch rear and 32-inch front shocks, and custom 37-inch Mickey Thompson tires raise the truck to towering heights.
This adrenaline-pumping creation is a testament to the team’s skill and the tire manufacturer’s vision. A one-of-a-kind creation, this modified Dodge boasts a hand-painted Mickey Thompson logo, courtesy of an Instagram-discovered artist.
Retaining the original truck bed, now housing a tire carrier and two full-sized spares, the vehicle exudes raw power thanks to a custom exhaust amplifying the Hellcrate engine’s roar. Steve’s meticulous welding brought the design to life within a tight deadline.
The minimalist cabin, draped in shades of grey and black, features premium leather and Alcantara accents. A completely redesigned dashboard houses digital gauges, while the custom center console, stretching from front to back, integrates speakers and climate controls.
With its commanding presence and exhilarating performance, this off-road beast accelerates like a sports car, leaving a trail of envy in its wake. Priced at approximately $300,000 upon completion, this custom-built Dodge is a testament to automotive artistry and engineering.
