Kia’s EV6 GT, the performance-oriented variant of its electric crossover, is poised for a mid-cycle facelift. Following in the footsteps of the standard EV6, which received a refresh earlier this year, the GT is expected to undergo similar, albeit sportier, enhancements. Recent shots of a camouflaged prototype offer a look at what to expect.
While heavily disguised, certain details are evident. The most striking feature is the vibrant neon green brake calipers, a clear indication of the GT’s performance-focused nature. These are prominently displayed behind the large, multi-spoke alloy wheels at both axles. Additionally, the prototype showcases new headlight units, mirroring the design changes introduced to the standard EV6.
However, the front bumper has been uniquely sculpted for the GT, featuring a distinct central air intake to optimize airflow and cooling for the high-performance powertrain. Although the rear end remains obscured by camouflage, it’s safe to anticipate revised taillights and a redesigned bumper to further accentuate the GT’s aggressive styling.
The EV6 GT’s interior promises to be a driver’s haven, closely mirroring the layout of its standard counterpart. Expect a technologically advanced cockpit featuring twin 12.3-inch displays, likely enhanced with exclusive design elements to distinguish the GT. The steering wheel is anticipated to receive a sporty makeover, while the center console could introduce fingerprint authentication for added security and convenience.
A wireless charging pad, potentially with improved capabilities, is also on the cards. To complement the performance-oriented nature of the EV6 GT, premium materials and distinctive upholstery are expected to create a truly special ambiance within the cabin. Kia is poised to introduce a revamped version of its high-performance EV6 GT in the coming weeks or months.
Anticipate a slight premium over the current 2024 GT model, which starts at $61,600. While the less potent GT-Line AWD and GT-Line RWD variants are priced at $57,600 and $52,900 respectively for the 2024 model year, the EV6 lineup also encompasses the Wind AWD ($52,600), Wind RWD ($48,700), Light Long Range AWD ($49,850), Light Long Range RWD ($45,950), and the base Light RWD from $42,600.
It’s crucial to remember that these figures represent the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) and exclude additional dealer fees and destination charges. While Kia has revealed pricing for the 2025 EV6 lineup in its home market of South Korea, starting around $40,245, U.S.-specific pricing is imminent. Expect an official announcement within the next few weeks, followed closely by the arrival of the first vehicles at dealerships.
