Stellantis has issued separate recalls for a limited number of 2023 Dodge Charger and Challenger models due to a potential safety hazard. The culprit is a misaligned left rear seatback striker, which prevents the seat from securely latching in the upright position. This poses a heightened risk of injury to rear passengers in the event of a collision.
Additionally, the unsecured seatback could fold forward during a crash, potentially causing harm to occupants from unrestrained cargo in the trunk. The issue was identified in July 2023, with a recall initiated in late July following an investigation into the problem.
Approximately 3,750 vehicles equipped with 60/40 folding rear seats are affected, including 2,852 Challengers and 898 Chargers produced between June and August 2023. The faulty seatback latch striker, part number 04628848AB, was supplied by Magna Closures.
Cleetus McFarland has transformed his Ram 1500 TRX into a one-of-a-kind regular cab beast. The truck, sporting a fresh coat of paint and Goodyear Wrangler Territory all-terrain tires, has clocked just under 20,000 miles. But instead of keeping this custom creation, McFarland has decided to raffle it off to one lucky fan.
To enter, fans can purchase Cleetus McFarland merchandise, with each dollar spent equaling one entry. While the prospect of winning this unique TRX and a $20,000 cash prize is enticing, the odds are stacked against entrants due to McFarland’s massive 3.78 million YouTube subscribers.
Achieving this radical transformation required a significant overhaul, including removing 31 inches from the frame rails while preserving essential components like the suspension and transfer case. Even the driveshaft needed shortening to accommodate the modified chassis.
