Ford’s 60th-anniversary celebration for the Mustang is a testament to the car’s enduring popularity. Not only is the iconic pony car receiving a limited-edition Brittany Blue paint job that harkens back to the 1967 model, but owners of the 2024 Mustang will also have the opportunity to experience a digital gauge cluster inspired by the legendary 1999-2001 SVT Cobra.
This digital tribute will be made available as a software update on April 17, transforming the modern Mustang’s instrument panel into a classic throwback. The limited-edition 60th Anniversary Package, available in a strictly limited production run of 1,965 units, is a fitting homage to the Mustang’s first model year in 1965.
It features a Fastback body, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a host of performance enhancements such as Brembo brakes, a limited-slip rear axle, and a premium sound system. Distinctive exterior elements, including 60th Anniversary badges and retro-style wheels, further set it apart from the standard Mustang.
In addition to these exciting features, the 60th Anniversary Package also offers a choice of two side graphics: Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red. These graphics, inspired by the original Mustang’s color palette, allow owners to personalize their vehicles and showcase their love for the classic pony car.
Ford’s 60th-anniversary celebration for the Mustang is a remarkable tribute to one of the most iconic and beloved vehicles in automotive history. With its limited-edition paint job, digital gauge cluster tribute, and numerous performance upgrades, the 60th Anniversary Package offers Mustang enthusiasts a truly unique and unforgettable driving experience.
The Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Edition is a limited-run model that celebrates the iconic muscle car’s six decades of existence. Its striking appearance is highlighted by a unique mesh grille with silver-accented nostrils that double as air intakes for its powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine. Inside, a serialized instrument panel badge commemorates this special occasion.
One of the standout features of this anniversary edition is its exclusive Brittany Blue paint color. This vibrant hue joins other special color options like Race Red and Vapor Blue, which feature silver mirror caps reminiscent of classic Mustangs. The Wimbledon White paint, on the other hand, boasts body-color mirror caps.
