Volkswagen has recently announced the starting price for its ID.3 GTX Performance in the United Kingdom. Priced at £46,225, it is slightly more expensive than its ICE counterpart, the Golf R. However, the ID.3 GTX Performance offers several advantages, including a longer range and faster charging capabilities.
Its 84 kWh battery pack supports rapid charging at up to 185 kW, allowing it to be charged from 10 to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes. Additionally, the ID.3 GTX Performance boasts a 326-mile range on the WLTP test cycle, making it a practical choice for daily commuting and longer journeys.
While the Golf R may offer a more traditional driving experience, the ID.3 GTX Performance represents a compelling option for those seeking an electric vehicle with impressive performance and range. The ID.3 GTX, a standout member of the ID.3 family, boasts a distinctive exterior with an exclusive front bumper, new DRLs, glossy black accents, unique side sills, and a special diffuser.
Its stylish 20-inch Skagen alloy wheels provide a sleek and sporty look. Inside, the GTX offers a premium experience with sports seats, fabric and leatherette upholstery, red stitching, a multi-function steering wheel, and a head-up display with augmented reality. The ID.3 GTX is available in two battery options and four trim levels.
The Pro Essential and Pro Match, both equipped with a 59 kWh battery, offer a 269-mile and 268-mile range, respectively. The Pro S Essential and Pro S Match, featuring a 77 kWh battery, provide a longer driving range of 346 miles and 345 miles.
All models are powered by a 201 hp electric motor, delivering a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 7.6 seconds for the Pro models and 8.2 seconds for the Pro S models.
In the UK, the base ID.3 Pro Essential starts at £35,700 ($47,109), while the Pro Match is priced at £36,560 ($48,244). The Pro S Essential and Pro S Match, offering a longer range and additional features, are priced at £39,190 ($51,714) and £40,050 ($52,849), respectively.
