The Chevrolet Corvette celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2023 with a limited edition model that offered a host of exclusive features. Based on the Z06 3LZ trim level, the 70th Anniversary Edition was available in both coupe and convertible body styles.
With its striking exterior design and luxurious interior, it was a highly sought-after collectible. One of the standout features of the 70th Anniversary Edition was its bespoke wheels with commemorative center caps.
The exterior was available in either White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic, and all models featured red brake calipers and exclusive badging. Customers could also opt for Satin Black or Satin Gray stripes to further personalize their vehicles.
Inside, the 70th Anniversary Edition offered a two-tone interior and the choice between Competition Sport or GT2 seats with exclusive logos. A suede microfiber steering wheel and red seatbelts added to the luxurious ambiance. Special sill plates and a custom luggage set were also included. Given its limited production and desirable features, it was no surprise that some owners of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette 70th Anniversary Edition were seeking to sell their vehicles for a profit.
One such example, with a mere 1,933 miles on the odometer, recently appeared on the market. Powered by a 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine and paired with an 8-speed DCT and rear-wheel drive, this particular Corvette was in pristine condition. The Chevrolet Corvette Z06, a performance-oriented variant of the iconic sports car, boasts impressive acceleration figures.
It can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and complete a quarter-mile run in 10.6 seconds. Despite its exceptional speed, the Z06 also offers reasonable fuel economy, with highway estimates of 21 mpg and city estimates of 12 mpg. Prices for the 2024 Corvette Z06 start at $111,795, but the 70th Anniversary Edition comes with a significant premium. Garage Kept Motors is selling a one-owner Z06 with a ceramic coating and a PPF face for $179,900.
While this price is considerably higher than the base model, it’s worth noting that the Z06 ZR1, a more powerful and exclusive version, is expected to have a higher MSRP. The Z06’s 70th Anniversary Edition features unique styling elements, including a commemorative badge, special badging, and a unique interior color scheme.
These features, combined with the car’s exceptional performance and limited availability, contribute to its higher price tag. However, it’s important to consider that the Z06 ZR1, which is expected to be more powerful and exclusive than the Z06, will likely have an even higher MSRP. Therefore, the Z06 70th Anniversary Edition may represent a more affordable option for those seeking the ultimate Corvette experience.
